Blue Link launches a new release
The folks at Blue Link
are excited to announce the launch of the latest version of Blue
Link business and accounting software. Release 10 delivers much
new functionality, some substantial enhancements, and a revamped
overall product structure.
Blue Link Elite 10
Powerful and flexible
additions to the product mean that Blue Link Elite 10 offers
importers, wholesalers, distributors and others the capabilities
normally only found in high end, costly ERP products. But
recognizing that not everyone requires all of these
capabilities, Elite 10 provides some of the advanced
functionality in the form of optional components, including:

Some more commonly used
features, such as Group Accounts receivables, have simply been
added to the base package.
Many enhancements have
been added to the base Elite product. Perhaps the most important
of these is the integrity model, designed to enhance the
auto-balancing and audit-ability functions. As stated by one
Blue Link partner, "After seeing these features I can no longer
in good conscience recommend competitive products where
integrity is a key concern."
Blue
Link Controller 10
An enhanced version of
Blue Link Controller 10 adds invoicing capabilities and a more
powerful integration model for linking with 3rd party
applications. This version remains affordable for smaller
organizations as well.
Please note that the
components listed above are only available for Elite. Note also
that the old Professional product has been discontinued.
Special Offer
Existing Blue Link
licenses may be upgraded to release 10. For a limited time, our
current users may also select one or two of the new components at no
extra charge when upgrading.
Until the end of April,
any new purchaser of Elite may also be entitled to a component
at no extra charge.

Wireless Woes
Using a wireless network? At home? At work? If
it works well, a wireless network can be a wonderful thing. That
is, until you decide to upgrade your cordless phone, in which
case, here's what may happen:
Your new cordless phone, and your existing
(previously rock-solid) wireless network, start slugging it out
for ownership of the 2.4GHz band. In practical terms, what this
means is that whenever someone uses the cordless phone anywhere
near the vicinity of either the wireless hub, or one of the
nodes, your network connection dies.
Moral of the story: unlike people, wireless
devices do NOT work better when they're all on the same
wavelength.
